Katusa Sargent "Hun" At Hill 116 DMZ

Because American Soldiers spoke little
Korean (Usually only swear words) there were South Korean Soldiers attached to most units as interpreters. These dedicated
South Korean soldiers work with and live with U.S. soldiers side by side and would fight side by side to the last man. Every
Katusa I ever met was friendly, hardworking and dedicated. I can't give them enough credit for the job that they do.
Shown here is Sargent Hun, Co. C 1/31 Mechanized Infantry. (KATUSA) is short for: "Korean Attached To United States Army".
